Text Box: Dear Parents, Welcome to February. Our themes this month will be Friendship and Tea Party. We will be learning about what it means to be a friend and how to get along with and care for each other. The children will be making friendship cards and sending them to each other using our Mail Center. They will also be making cards to bring home to their families. We will also be finishing up our unit on towns, adding a restaurant to out bakery and hardware store already in place. We will be exchanging valentines in preschool on Tues. February 14. If you wish your child to participate please send Valentines to school labeled with just your child’s name. They will then be able to drop one in each child’s Valentine bag. Text Box: Parent-Child Activity: Write a Letter Help your child write a letter to a friend or family member. Your child might help write the words, draw a picture, sign his/her name, or put the stamp on the envelope. Talk to your child about the importance of putting the recipients address on the envelope, and how the letter will get delivered. Let your child help put the letter in your mailbox, or take it to the post office.
